I'm getting away 2 hours a week to draw, I'm determined. I've had a few questions about how I shade, draw fur. Honestly, I still do it a little differently every time and think I'm still working out kinks in my craft, but I'm happy to share what I use. I'm thinking the best way to convey my techniques is with a screen capture video with commentary where I slow it down at the start, then speed it up for the redundant parts. The tools required are just a pressure sensitive tablet pen and a compatible program like mine (Paint Tool SAI. I'm pretty sure you can use the same techniques in firealpaca and photoshop, but I don't know how to change the brushes). I will add screenshots of my brush settings (most of them are default brushes with a couple simple ones I made myself).
Is this something people want? Or would you rather see a "speedpaint", a video sped up of me finishing a picture from sketch or blank canvas (hint: they would be much simpler for me so I could produce several)?

Sorry for the art dump
Someone cleared the cookies on my computer and I forgot my dA password there for a while :X. Anyhoo, you can catch my work frequently on my furaffinity page: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/silvermoonfox/ It has my more adult work and that is where I ussually put commission specials. I've just been working in SAI instead of photoshop due to it's attitude. I might be able to clean up my computer and do a restore to before it started hogging resources even when I don't have a file open. Might just have to start over with it.
If anyone has some SAI tutorials they like and would maybe point out to me, I would be happy. This weekend I'm doing som
School Starting. My photoshop is sick.
Yay! I'm excited and nervous. My grants came in and school is paid for. I did enough commissions to buy most of my books and I think I can scrape up the rest of the money some how. I'll Probably work on commissions to counter the cost of childcare ($210 a week!) that should be paid for by student loans, but I've got some things to figure out (like how much spare time I'll have and what program to use) so maybe you might see something on the weekends for cheap SAI works for a little while.
And yep, my photoshop is sick. I want to say it is dead but it still runs, just can't run any other programs at the same time and if I rotate the canvas, i

I like the commentary idea better, so I can follow along. Speedpaints are fun for me to watch and sometimes they show generally what's happening, but to actually learn I like to have someone explaining what they're doing and showing it an easy to follow speed (:
