I'm getting away 2 hours a week to draw, I'm determined. I've had a few questions about how I shade, draw fur. Honestly, I still do it a little differently every time and think I'm still working out kinks in my craft, but I'm happy to share what I use. I'm thinking the best way to convey my techniques is with a screen capture video with commentary where I slow it down at the start, then speed it up for the redundant parts. The tools required are just a pressure sensitive tablet pen and a compatible program like mine (Paint Tool SAI. I'm pretty sure you can use the same techniques in firealpaca and photoshop, but I don't know how to change the brushes). I will add screenshots of my brush settings (most of them are default brushes with a couple simple ones I made myself).

Is this something people want? Or would you rather see a "speedpaint", a video sped up of me finishing a picture from sketch or blank canvas (hint: they would be much simpler for me so I could produce several)?

I like the commentary idea better, so I can follow along. Speedpaints are fun for me to watch and sometimes they show generally what's happening, but to actually learn I like to have someone explaining what they're doing and showing it an easy to follow speed (:
