I had a baby, I have exams, my baby is demanding, life is hard. So it always is.
I would like to say here that I appreciate all the comments I get and read them all. I am horrible at not replying to comments. I have a peeve about spam answers, as in, if it would be a two word response that you would certainly not get offended not getting, then I don't want to type it and have it sit there on my page. I feel like I would be "comment boosting" by replying to every comment. So I reply to specific questions when I can (it is hard to type with a baby in your lap), and smile at the rest.
Also I would like to comment more. Sometimes I get on a roll and comment on several pieces. Other times I'm just fave-ing. I hate to traditionally fave and run but it is hard to type with a baby on your lap. Sometimes I manage to type out some barely coherent comment while he is trying to hit the keys with me. It is...simply easier to keep the mouse from him than to keep the keys away. Sometimes I can't even manage keeping the mouse out of reach. I've clicked on a lot of ads lately...did I mention how hard it is to type with a baby on your lap?
Oh, and for those of you wondering: Remy was born a couple weeks early just before thanksgiving. I had a difficult debilitating pregnancy. The birth was relatively easy. Most moms complain about being in labor for hours or even days. I was in labor for an hour. I pushed for six minutes. This brings on all new complications, but yeah, hardest thing I ever did but not all that drawn out. He was very healthy, especially for being early. He was nearly 8lbs and had a larger head than most term babies. I hate to think how that would have gone if he was full term.
He is thriving. I am doing alright. He is very demanding but at least he sleeps 8 hours at night. Usually. Not last night.

Fluff Video tutorial? (school started)
I'm getting away 2 hours a week to draw, I'm determined. I've had a few questions about how I shade, draw fur. Honestly, I still do it a little differently every time and think I'm still working out kinks in my craft, but I'm happy to share what I use. I'm thinking the best way to convey my techniques is with a screen capture video with commentary where I slow it down at the start, then speed it up for the redundant parts. The tools required are just a pressure sensitive tablet pen and a compatible program like mine (Paint Tool SAI. I'm pretty sure you can use the same techniques in firealpaca and photoshop, but I don't know how to change the
$20 commissions
I'm offering quick commissions at 20 usd (via paypal) each like my more recent pictures either with a simple background or transparent background (like for buttons/signatures or something).
If you would like one from me, you can either note me or comment here.
Awesome if you can include:
-if you would like to see and approve a sketch first
-who you want drawn with references if possible
-if you want it posted here once done, or if you want it to be a surprise and not uploaded until a certain date (or not at all)
-Any theme or pose you might like
I should have the first 5 at least done by the end of the weekend. Long story short, Novemb
Sorry for the art dump
Someone cleared the cookies on my computer and I forgot my dA password there for a while :X. Anyhoo, you can catch my work frequently on my furaffinity page: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/silvermoonfox/ It has my more adult work and that is where I ussually put commission specials. I've just been working in SAI instead of photoshop due to it's attitude. I might be able to clean up my computer and do a restore to before it started hogging resources even when I don't have a file open. Might just have to start over with it.
If anyone has some SAI tutorials they like and would maybe point out to me, I would be happy. This weekend I'm doing som
School Starting. My photoshop is sick.
Yay! I'm excited and nervous. My grants came in and school is paid for. I did enough commissions to buy most of my books and I think I can scrape up the rest of the money some how. I'll Probably work on commissions to counter the cost of childcare ($210 a week!) that should be paid for by student loans, but I've got some things to figure out (like how much spare time I'll have and what program to use) so maybe you might see something on the weekends for cheap SAI works for a little while.
And yep, my photoshop is sick. I want to say it is dead but it still runs, just can't run any other programs at the same time and if I rotate the canvas, i
